Why do Democrats oppose voter ID at the polls?

To borrow a phrase from Dana Carvey's "Church Lady"--Could it be.....FRAUD? Well, it sure isn't due to the frequently cited reason that it "suppresses " minority votes as Professor Jeff Milyo of the University of Missouri shows here.
